திருவனந்தபுரம் சித்ராஞ்சலி ஸ்டூடியோவில் நடைபெற்றுவரும் ‘கோச்சடையான்’ ஷூட்டிங் தற்போது விஸ்மயா  மேக்ஸ் ஸ்டூடியோவுக்கு இடம் பெயர்ந்துள்ளது. நடிகர் மோகன்லாலுக்கு சொந்தமான நவீன ஸ்டூடியோ இது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

விசேஷம் என்னவென்றால், படத்தில் கையாளப்பட்டுள்ள மோஷன் காப்ச்சரிங் டெக்னாலஜி மிகச் சிறப்பாக வந்துள்ளதாம். இதுவரை ப்ராசஸ் செய்யப்பட்ட காட்சிகளை வைத்து பார்த்தபோது, ரஜினியின் காரக்டர் பிரமாதமாக வந்துள்ளதாம்.

ரசிகர்களால் மிகவும் ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் ‘கோச்சடையான்’ படத்தின் படப்பிட்ப்பு திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் நடைபெற்று வருவதால், நிச்சயம் நகருக்கு நல்ல பப்ளிசிட்டி தான். உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற தரமான பைன் வூட் ஸ்டூடியோவிலேயே படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றுவிட்ட பிறகு, இங்கு ஏன் மீண்டும் படப்பிடிப்பு  நடத்தப்படுகிறது என்ற கேள்விக்கு படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் முரளி மனோகர் பதிலளித்துள்ளார்.

“முன்பு லண்டன் சென்றபோது ‘கோச்சடையான்’ குழுவில் உள்ள இரண்டு நடிகர்களுக்கு விசா கிடைப்பதில் சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டு அவர்கள் வரமுடியவில்லை. ஆகையால் அவர்கள் இடம்பெற வேண்டிய காட்சிகளை தவிர்த்து மற்ற காட்சிகளை ஷூட் செய்தோம். தவிர சில நட்ச்சதிரங்களின் தேதி கிடைப்பதிலும் சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டது. எனவே தான் இங்கு திருவனனந்தபுரத்தில் மறுபடியும் ஷூட் செய்துவருகிறோம். தவிர இங்கு அனிமேஷன் படத்துக்கு தேவையான நவீன உள்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகள் போதுமானளவு உள்ளன” என்றார். எந்த நடிகர்களுக்கு விசா கிடைக்கவில்லை என்பதை கூற முரளி மனோகர் மறுத்துவிட்டார். ஆனால், திருவனந்தபுரம் படப்பிடிப்பு தளத்தில் ரமேஷ் பாபு மற்றும் ராஜூ சுந்தரம் ஆகியோரை காண முடிந்தது. எனவே மேற்படி இரு நடிகர்கள் இவர்களாக இருக்கலாம் என்று ஐயம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

ரஜினியை பொறுத்தவரை அவர் பக்கா PROFESSIONAL. நீட்டாக அவர் பங்கை முடித்து தந்திருக்கிறார். அவர் சார்ந்த பகுதிகள் மிகவும் நன்றாக வந்துள்ளது. 3D உருவாக்கத்தில் அவரது காரக்டர் மிகவும் நன்றாக வந்திருப்பதாக முரளி கூறுகிறார்.

படப்பிடிப்பு கிட்டத்தட்ட முடிந்துவிட்டதால், படம் செப்டம்பர் ரிலீசுக்கு திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. “நாங்கள் ஜனவரி மாதம் முதலே, படத்தின் POST PRODUCTION பணிகளை செய்துவருகிறோம். படத்தின் சில பாகங்கள் ஏற்கனவே முடிந்துவிட்டது.

“படம் தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, ஹிந்தி ஆகிய மொழிகளில் தனித் தனியே உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆங்கிலத்தில் மட்டும் டப் செய்யப்படுகிறது.” என்ற தகவலையும் முரளி வெளியிட்டார்.

Rajinikanth in Mohanlal’s studio!

The unit of Kochadaiyaan who were shooting at the Chitranjali studio in Thiruvananthapuram has shifted to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s Vismaya Max studio.

Media One’s Murali Manohar the producer of the film told a newspaper: “After shooting in the high end Pinewood Studios we are now shooting in Trivandrum and doing post production work at Vismaya Max, which has got world class animation required to complete the work.”

Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone are in Thiruvananthapuram and special security personals are deployed outside the studio.  In between shots, the superstar heads straight to the state-of-the-art caravan parked outside the studio and is yet to meet anyone from the media.

The staff in the studio is not allowed to take their mobile phones inside, as Soundarya fears that someone will leak footage of the shoot.

The buzz is that 3D motion capture technique being used in the film has come out very well. It seems Rajinikanth’s character looks stunning in the processed footage.

The entire shoot of Kochadaiyaan will be over by the weekend and post-production work is going on in full swing. The film made in Tamil will have a Hindi, Telugu and an English version. It will release in September.

With work on Rajinikanth’s most anticipated film taking place in Trivandrum, Kerala’s capital city is sure to get a publicity boost. But co-producer of Kochadaiyaan, Dr Murali Manohar, reveals the real reason why the team chose to work here after canning most of the film at one of London’s high-end studios.

“Two of our actors could not get the required visa permits to make it to London. We also had to make room for scenes which couldn’t be shot due to date issues of certain actors,” he says, adding that the Trivandrum studio provided the world-class facilities required to finish the work. While the producer did not mention who the two actors in question were, sources contemplate it could be actors Ramesh Babu and Raju Sundaram, who were present at the shoot in Trivandrum.

“The shoot has been hectic and strenuous as it is set in a different and difficult environment. The actors had to perform without sets, make-up or costume, but they have all stepped up to the task. Rajinikanth has been a thorough professional and has taken to the job extremely well. Being 3D, the results are amazingly realistic and Rajinikanth’s character looks stunning in the processed footage,” reveals Murali.

With the filming done, the team is working towards a September release. “We are simultaneously working with the post-production aspects since January and have finished few sections of the film,” he says. Murali also points out that the flick will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, each being a different version, and will also be dubbed in English.
