கோலிவுட், டோலிவுட், பாலிவுட் எந்த வுட்டானாலும் சரி… எப்பேர்ப்பட்ட நடிகரானாலும் சரி “FRIDAY JITTERS” என்று சொல்லப்படும் இந்த வெள்ளிக்கிழமை ஜூரத்திலிருந்து மட்டும் தப்ப முடியாது. காரணம் அவர்கள் தலையெழுத்தை தீர்மானிப்பதல்லவா இது ?
(2006 ஆம் ஆண்டு அப்போதைய முதல்வர் கலைஞர், திரைப்படங்களுக்கு வரிவிலக்கு அளித்ததையடுத்து தமிழ் திரையுலகம் சார்பாக நடைபெற்ற பாராட்டு விழாவில் பேசிய சூப்பர் ஸ்டார், “சினிமாவுக்கு வரிவிலக்கு கொடுத்ததை விமர்சிக்கிறார்கள். கலையுலகை பொறுத்தவரை அதில் இருப்பவர்களுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு வெள்ளிக்கிழமையும் அவர்களது தலைவிதி மாறும். அவர்களைப் பார்த்து பொறாமைப்படவேண்டாம்” என்று கூறியிருந்தார். எத்துனை உண்மை?!)
கிசுகிசுக்கள், சக நட்சத்திரங்களுடன் இணைத்து கூறப்படும் வதந்திகள், பப் தகராறுகள் இப்படி பல விஷயங்கள் ஒரு நடிகரை பாதித்தாலும், அவர்களின் படம் ரிலீசாகும்போது தீர்மானிக்கப்படும் அதன் தலை விதி மற்றும் ஊடகங்களில் அவற்றின் மேல் ஏற்படும் எதிர்பார்ப்பு ஒரு நடிகரை மிக அதிகமாக பாதிக்கிறதாம். மன ரீதியாக.
தன்னைப் பற்றிய வரும் விரும்பத்தகாத செய்திகளுக்கு பதிலளிக்கும்போது மீடியாவிடம் எதையாவது கூறி தனது இமேஜை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்ளும் நடிகர்கள், தங்கள் படங்களின் தலையெழுத்தைப் பொறுத்தவரை ஒன்றும் செய்யமுடிவதில்லை. எப்படியாவது உண்மை வெளிவந்துவிடுகிறது. ஏனெனில் அது அவர்களின் கைகளில் இல்லையே?
2012 மார்ச் மாதம் வரை, பிரபல பாலிவுட் நடிகர் அக்ஷய் குமாரின் எதிர்காலம் கேள்விக்குறியாகவே இருந்தது. கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளாக பிளாப்களுக்கு மேல் பிளாப்களாக கொடுத்ததனால், தனது நட்சத்திர அந்தஸ்தை தக்க வைத்துக் கொள்ள அவர் போராடவேண்டியிருந்தது. ஒரு வழியாக ஹவுஸ்புல் படம் ரிலீஸாகி அவரை சற்று மூச்சு விட வைத்தது. ஆனால், இந்த மாத தொடக்கத்தில் பிரபுதேவா டைரக்ஷனில் ரிலீசான அவரது ‘ரவுடி ரத்தோர்’ படம் தான் அவரை உண்மையில் காப்பாற்றியிருக்கிறது எனலாம்.
படத்தில் பெரிதாக ஒன்றுமில்லை என ஊடகங்கள் விமர்சித்தாலும், பாக்ஸ் ஆபீசில் படம் வெளுத்து வாங்கிவிட்டது. டாப் கான்களின் லிஸ்ட்டில் இவரையும் சேர்த்துவிட்டது இப்படம். “100 CRORE CLUB” எனப்படும் 100 கோடிகளுக்கும் மேல் வசூல் செய்த படங்களின் பட்டியலில் இடம்பிடித்துவிட்டது ‘ரவுடி ரத்தோர்’.
ஆனால், தமிழ் சினிமாவை பொறுத்தவரை, பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் கலக்ஷேனுக்கு அளவுகோலாக கருதப்படுவது சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்தின் ‘எந்திரன்’ திரைப்படம் தான். மற்ற நடிகர்களும் திரைப்படங்களும் இந்த இடத்தை தொட முயற்சித்தாலும் எவராலும் முடியவில்லை என்பதே நிதர்சனம்.
அகில இந்திய வசூல் பட்டியலைப் பொருத்த வரை, சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் ‘ரோபோ’ அமீர்கானின் ’3 இடியட்ஸ்’ படத்துக்கு பிறகு இரண்டாவது இடத்தில் கம்பீரமாக அமர்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

I have just given what TOI India has said. In Hindi, you can get box office figures easily as the producers themselves will give them. But for tamil films you can't get so easily. So, let's not speak about number games. We should be happy and contended with our position in top list itself.

The data given by Times of India is wrong. Production cost is announced 150 Crores and profit for Sun Pictures is 47 Crores. In such a case, how can this data published by TOI is correct? I am sure that it will be nothing less than 350-400 Crores.

Yes, Sun TV's published accounts for Q4 2010 reveals that Sun made a net profit of 179CR from Enthiran which the CFO of Sun confirmed saying Enthiran's gross world-wide collections from all languages was min 375Cr. The North of India has a major problem in accepting this and that is why they have come up with some ridiculous nonsence to give 2 Cr more to 3 Idiots just so they can make sure that a Hindi film takes the number 1 slot. We should not read too much into what the TOI (Toilet of India) says.
